Replacing fan
How would I go about replacing the lower front fan in my XPS GEN 5 desktop. I noticed there is a plastic plate that surrounds the fan. I am having trouble getting the other side of my case open. Does anyone have any ideas on how I would go about replacing the front lower fan in my case? Thanks!

a dell tech just replaced mine yesterday. First he unscrews 2 screws holding the black heat box that'snext to the fan and took it out, then he just puled pulled fan out with his hand, don't forget to unplug the cable First. and if you need more room to get it out you can pull the cdrom out also. my xps is the xps200.
could you tell my why you need to replace your fan? my has a high pitch sound to it and after replacing the fan it still has a high pitch noise. so i dont know what to do next with this dell.
