Resolution Assistant not installed with computer
After looking and trying for weeks now, I haven't been able to get a copy of Resolution Assistant to install on my comp. My Backup Dell CD included Solution Center, but Resolution Assistant is not included with it. As far as I can tell, it has never been installed on my computer. Does any one have any ideas about how I can go about getting a copy of RA for my system? Thanks.

However, if you don't have Fix My Computer showing, then you have to reinstall it from the CD.
Load it in your CD or DVD player. Open My Computer and look for the named CD on your D: drive (most likely). Now, RIGHT click on the drive icon. When the pop-up menu shows, click Explore. Doing this will open up the contents or directory of the CD. Now you can open up the different parts of the directory tree to look for RA. I don't remember which folder the setup program is in, either Ra or Setup. Just click 'em and see what it is called. If it isn't the one you want, simply click Cancel or Back to exit the program.
I've been all around this bend, and stumbled on the CD's directory by accident. RA wasn't "fully" installed on my PC initially and the CD wasn't shipped with my system. Though I used RA, (that's how I contacted Dell to get the replacement CD) it just wouldn't show my hardware profile. I got two CDs because I didn't think that RA was on the first. I requested another one only to find it after I got the second one. I had trouble getting it re-installed but that's another long story.
Everything is fine now and I love using RA. I just used RA to request a replacement for my loud-as-a-buzzsaw cooling fan. I put in the fan and wish I had done it a long time ago. I think RA is great.
