Resource CD's

I have several Resource CD's, and want to find out what systems they are for. I got the part number and typed it in on the Dell Part number page, but Dell claims all the D/PN xxxxx don't exist. So I typed in the P/N on the CD, Dell claims they don't exist either. How can I find out which systems my Resource CD's are for?? TIA. Jim

I typed the part numbers into google to find the info I needed for mine....you may want to try that

Not sure if it is worth the agony but have you tried calling technical support....perhaps the online chat service would be better

Ya, tried that too. Some come up "not found", the others come up as a string of numbers for a Japanese or Chinese search. Thanks.

Put the Dell Resource CD's in a CD/ROM and the list of systems they apply to, should be on the opening page.

You should be able to obtain the disks required from here.

Thanks, I tried several on my Dimension, but I tells me that "you are running on a differant model, please check......" I just thought I could get the P/N off the cd and type it in to the P/N on the Dell page and it would give it to me. Is the only way to order a Resource disk is to call and ask for them??

Bev-- Thanks. What it is is that I have about a dozen Restore disks that I need to find out what models they are for. I thought that by putting in the P/N into Dells P/N page, it would tell me. It doesn't.
