If you are asking about the _Restore folder created by System Restore, then the answer is that you cannot get into it, as it is a protected file that only the System Restore application can manipulate.  Furthermore, Windows will not allow you to delete any of the files or folders in the _Restore folder.  The only way to get rid of the folders is to disable System Restore, but doing so will delete all restore points.  Post back if this is not what you are asking about or if you need further information.

Thanks so much for answering my question....I posted earlier and got no replys..the reason I am asking the question....after scanning with House Call it came back that i had no virus, but in the report(from House Call) in my folders it had several pages of files in the Restore Archive the said the Compressed file is corrupted  or that it failed to read...Data error.  Since I do not know what this means and if I should do anything thought I would ask!!!!m It also stated a potential virus infection? i have run several different virus catchers  so I do not have any on my system, but do not know about the restore Archive .  Thanks again

Antivirus software can usually find viruses even if they are in the Restore archives.  So, you appear to be virus-free.  Nevertheless, the error message seems to be telling you that the Restore archives are corrupt.  If this is the case, then you would not be able to use them to restore your system anyway, so the best course of action would be to get rid of them.  To do this you would have disable System Restore, reboot, then re-enable System Restore.

thehanors,
Right-click My Computer then click Properties | Performance | File System | Troubleshooting and put a check in the box next to Disable System Restore. Click Apply | OK | OK then reboot. Do the same procedure and uncheck the Disable System Restore box to turn it back on.
