Saving on Floppy...

Hello!     I am trying to save on floppy to back me up in case I loose documents as I have previously done.  I thought when you save, the FLOPPY would make a noise as my CD ROM does when I have one in.  Can anyone help tell me anything tonight?

What are you trying to save on the floppy? Pictures? Word documents? The floppy drive usually will do quite a bit of subtle clicking when saving, as it's pretty slow. When you get done with the save, can you click on the A-drive and view the document? If you can, it's saved.

Remember, floppies are limited to 1.44 megabytes. That's smaller than the size of a single picture taken with some of the new hi-res digital cameras.

Yes, floppies will only hold 1.44Mb. So how can you save to multiple floppies in Windows??

WinZip (www.winzip.com) is capable of saving large files to multiple floppies.
