When i try to run thorough scan disk, i keep receiving a message that windows or a program is sending information to the c:/drive. What can i do to correct this?
Do an Alt-Ctrl-Del (over and over) and 'End Task' on everything EXCEPT Explorer and, if it's listed, Systray. Also turn off any Wallpaper or screen saver then try it again, something running in the background was trying to access the HDD while the ScanDisk was in progress and that'll stop it every time.
