Sensitive Logitech Mouse

All of a sudden my Logitech mouse has become very sensitive. For example when I clicked on Dell Message Board a Message Board list dropped down and then reverts back to the original Dell title- Message Boards. I have to click a few times to get the drop down list to remain in place. This also happens sometimes when I click on the down arrow in the ADDRESS Bar. Or when I view my E-Mail a message can end up in the deleated area so that I have to click on INBOX to read mail that I never deleated. It's as though I have clicked the Logitech twice. Is there a Logitech problem?

This should be relatively easy to diagnose. Swap your Logitech mouse for a good ols Microsoft mouse and see if things improve. If they do not, then you have a XP issue. If they do, then you should uninstall the Logitech drivers for that mouse and install updated drivers.

The Logitech is the only mouse that I have. That's what came with the 8250. I went to Control Panel and viewed Mouse Properties. Do you think that Double Click Speed would cause this. Otherwise I'll have to buy a new mouse. Maybe wireless. Thanks.

Sherr:

Ok, let's go with my other suggestion. Uninstall and reinstall the drivers. Do you have your disc?

Yes. I have the disc but I am not inclined to play with the drivers. I think that I'll experiment with DOUBLE CLICK SPEED before I go any further. Thanks
