That is a value Dell added to keep DMI error messages from appearing when a 3rd party video card is added to the Dell system.

HOw would someone add a third party video card to a system with no PCI or AGP slots?  I saw that reference months ago & am still looking for answers to this question.  Off or On?

* What are you talking about? The question had to do with an 8400 which has one PCIe slot and three PCI slots.

I am stuck with these Optiplex SX280 PCs that have that SERR DMI message handling off/on in the A07 BIOS that are without expansion slots.  I have found info in this forum about it.  Was it added to the A07 update to mess wiith me or to solve a problem for the future?  I had these PCs running nicely until the NMI Parity malfunction message started appearing, so I updated the BIOS.  They are shutting down while little elementary school students try to get their work completed.  I saw 3 shut themselves off while ghosting during a PC DOS boot on CD. so I think it is not Windows related.  I could use some help, that's why I am here looking and reading anything I can find about it.  Sorry.
