SiSoftware Sandra

Hi

I have a copy of SiSoftware Sandra 2004 and under CPU BIOS - Upgradeability it indicates support for 3.60Ghz processor. First of all correct me if I am mistaken, but Intel doesn't have a P4 that fast yet and if it did, I suspect  my board/chipset/memory  would not support a 3.60 Ghz CPU, consequently, I question this application(Sandra) and it's usefullness.

It should have said 3.06 Ghz. Either you read it wrong or it's a typo.

Nope! I didn't read it wrong, it did indicate 3.60Ghz+. As for a typo, not from me but I do agree that 3.06Ghz would seem a better number howeverwith  this computer's chipset 865 PE or G  800fsb(HT) my understanding it will support 3.2Ghz.

cyqm,

If this system has the 533 FSB then 3.06 would be the limit but if the system has 800 FSB then I think that 3.60 would not be unreasonable.
