Slow boot up
When I first got my computer, it loaded up fast, all the system tray programs launched up really fast, but now it takes so long just to load my Anti-Virus.
Before my Anti-Virus used to launch up really fast.

Hello,
Try defragmenting with "Perfect Disk". There are demos all over the internet. First time thru takes forever.
Is your memory usage on boot up the same as it has always been? (in Task Manager)

Chroncile,
The reason for your slow boot up is because you have way too many startup programs. If you do not want to have no startup programs except antivirus, and load all the others by yourself, then so be it. Your pc boots sooo slowly because you have soo many programs at once, and the processor is loading them all at once, making the boot process slow. If you dont want to try my solution, fine. Look, i have no startup programs, except antivirus, and my nvidia thing for my graphics card, and my pc loads in under 1 minute. With all programs loading at startup, it is about 5 minutes, so i load everything manually, and save about 3 minutes off boot!

for a professional at computers, this should be simple for you. Listen, please do not get angry, i can tell at the all caps, and exclamation points. The cause of the problem is obvious, too many startup programs, and the cpu is loading it all at once, making it slow. The solution is obvious, have almost no startup programs and you should be fine. And your system model, and specifications would be appreciated. , ravi
