slow shutdown (messageapp not responding)

Question

Hi,
When i shut down my computer, it is delayed because "MessageApp is not responding". I have no idea what that is. I do a search on that on my computer & come up with nothing. I always close all my programs before shutdown. Can somebody please tell me what MessageApp is and why it is delaying shutdown, and how i can correct the problem? I called Dell & the guy had no idea whatsoever, so he just told me to do a system restore. Any help would be great!

if your running norton antivirus under windows xp, it do that... i had the same problem, but i cannot remember how i fixed it... i think there is a patch you can download from norton, but i dont remember thats what fixed it...
