Software will not remove
I am not sure if anyone here can help me. Anywho here is my problem, About 3 months ago I downloaded a virus protection software to my pc. About a month and a half ago I had some really bad power surges. Now I can not remove this software. I can't even visit the web site or any software folders in my pc with out the window closing before I can read anything. Is there anything that I can do to get this stuff off of my computer?????

It would help to post the computer model, version of windows and the name of the software.

Are you removing AVG to install a new version or a new product?

Have you tried > Start > All Programs > AVG > Uninstall AVG.
Check out the procedures in the 4th post here.
