Sporadic BIOS error message??

I have a GEN 3 XPS whose BIOS reports an error once every 10 boots or so. The error message is:

Drive 5 not found: Parallel ATA, PATA-1 (PRI IDE Slave)

As far as I know I don't have anything connected nor configured on this controller. I'm running the dual Raptors in Raid 0 configuration. I updated my BIOS recently to rev A03, but that didn't make any difference. This error does not affect the PC in any way though. I can ignore it and tell the BIOS to continue with the boot process and everything is fine.

Any ideas?

I would give Dell Tech Support a call and see what they have to say.  If nothing else your call will at least document the problem for warranty purposes.  I would also run the Dell Diagnostics on the system to be sure everything is Ok.  Another thing I would do is post a message in the Dimension - Hard Drive forum, if you haven't done so already, to see if anyone else is experiencing the same problem.  The BIOS forum has a rather limited audience so the hardware forum would be the best venue in which to reach a greater number of people.
