startup menu

When I start my computer I get this message prompt:
Start windows from:
1. Hard disc
2. CD Rom - hard disc is highlighted and after 4 second windows opens.
Why is this happening and how can I correct it?

go in the bios and see what ure boot sequence looks like.. you can have the floppy and cdrom unchecked (unless ure installin a new windows or something) just have that main drive checked though and move it to the top of the order

I'd suggest if you're going in your BIOS and changing the boot order to have it load Floppy Drive, CD-ROM, Hard Drive.

Even without the CD-ROM it'd be fine, but you shouldn't ever really have your Hard Drive boot first and be the only thing to boot. Just a safety thing in case the HD fails. :)

Westomatics response is fine. Even if the HD fails, you can go into the bios and put the floppy first in boot order.
