Could be an indication of spyware or adware on the system. Try posting in your problem in the
Special Interest - Virus/Spyware Info and Removal forum.

I have had the same problem - with two user profiles. I did both spyware and virus scans and found nothing. I created a new user profiles and the problem does not re-appear with the new one.
My next step is to totally re-image unless someone has other suggestions.
I purchased Spysweeper software last night. Found two additional adware items that none of the others found. Removal of these items brought the computer back to life.
