Before you do anything, close all your programs, and do a
full virus scan. Then after that finishes, reboot, and be sure that you have the latest patches to Norton AV istalled. Just connect to the internet, and select "Live Update". If the connect option comes up, select "Internet", then click "OK".
Sometimes, Norton has a few patches...one will be your virus definitions, and then, select "Live Update" a second time, and then you may recieve the Client patch if there is one. These two can be in reverse order also.
Be sure to reboot after each patch.
Another thing to try, is to turn your "Bloodhound" settings to medium, or low. Some systems/programs are pretty particular about some anti virus programs running, even after they are closed. Does this happen after a fresh boot, or only after you have used a few programs?
If this keeps crashing you, for no apparent reason, after doing the above steps, I would Uninstall the program, reboot, and then do the full install, using the default setup. If the program is still crashing you out, go to Symantec's web site, located
*HERE* (click here).
Good Luck.
