Three things I would do are (1) run a full virus scan and (2) Look up Microsoft's KnowledgeBase to see if this is a known problem, and (3) update any critical patches for the OS
Thanx for replying. i done all that u said. no viruses, couldn't find anything in microsoft and i downloaded all my updates yesterday....still not working.
I had the same task Mgr. problem which was caused by a virus. After I deleted the infected file (Norton) I had to manually go into the registry and delete the file entry. This solved the problem. If you don't delete the registry entry the virus will return.
Well AVG managed to find 2 viruses and that seems to have solved the problem, im very surprised that norton didn't detect it though. Thanks very much for your help.
Im not to sure how to delete it from my registry though, could you explain that to me please.
Run regedit.exe and do a find on the virus file name. If it does find an entry delete the key. There may be more than one entry so search the entire registry. If I recall my virus was attached to a tcp/ip key. Exit regedit and reboot.
To be on the safe side backup your registry before you start. There is a menu/backup option in regedit. Good luck

According to this quick Google search, you certainly seem to have a virus on your system:

You might want to verify the presence of the virus using this MS KB article:
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;326833
That article also points you to many software vendors. If you are infected by that virus you can try this tool to remove it:
http://securityresponse.symantec.com/avcenter/venc/data/w32.klez.removal.tool.html
But it may be one of three viruses according to this USENET post:
http://www.google.com/groups?hl=en&lr=lang_en&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&newwindow=1&selm=OBvix58oDHA.744%40tk2msftngp13.phx.gbl
So I'd suggest look at this post and look up each virus and try each removal tool one at a time. See which one fixes the bug.
The free anti-virus software that I would use is available from:
http://www.grisoft.com/
Take every precaution to ensure that the virus disk/software itself does not get infected.
