testing new memory module
I bit the bullet and purchased a cheapo PC2100 DDR
module ($29, versus $67 at Crucial) despite having
read certain comments here that Dell computers
sometimes have problems with cheaper modules.
It seems that when there are problems, the results
are pretty salient: immediately noticeable quirks or
issues.
What I am curious about is, after I pop in the new
module, let's say that I don't notice any immediate
problems. Is there a way to "test the efficiency"
(or whatever) of a module? Or at least to test the
workability of the entire RAM in my machine?
Perhaps there is a download one of you guys could
point me towards. I examined CST Corp. and their
"Online Memory Tester" but quite frankly I couldn't
determine if it is the diagnostic I wanted. Thanks
in advance guys for your help!

The newest version is also available at Downloads above. Just enter your system/OS info, and look for Diagnostic Utilities.
