"This program is not responding"
When I open some of my programs like Camedia Master "My digital camera software", Adobe PhotoDeluxe, System Mechanic and others, the software window will appear on the desktop but the program won't open. When I try to close the program, the program window stays on my desktop until I restart. I get this message: "End program - this program is not responding. To return to Windows & check the status of the program, click cancel. To end the program now, click End Now"
If I open another program while the first program's window is still on the desktop, the second program's window replaces the first program.
If the dimensions of the first program is 5x6 inches and I open the second program with a larger window, just the part of the larger program's window that will fit in the first 5x6 window will appear.
The only way to delete the program window is to restart my computer.
Could my Adobe PhotoDeluxe program be causing the problem? When I open PhotoDeluxe, I get this notice: "Unable to load PSUT 9532. Photo Deluxe will not be able to support 16 bit plug-ins. Continue launching? I click "Yes" and the program starts.

I have Windows XP Home Edition, Norton SystemWorks 2004, Zone Alarm Pro 4, System Mechanic by iolo, Ad-Aware 6.0.
I use all of these programs about twice a month to keep my computer is good running condition.
Could my System Mechanic program (iolo technologies) that I bought when I had Windows 98se be causing any problem?
Dell Dimension XPS T 600 Intel Pentium 3, 512 RAM, 40 gig HD with 20 gig free space. Thank You, Frank

Why not try removing the programs in question (rebooting after each uninstall), then defrag the system if it needs it.
THEN, add them back individually and see if you can replicate the problem with one or a combination of those apps.
