Upgrade CPU/Overclock
I bought the refurbished PC upgraded to a Pentium (R) D 3.4GHZ with 4GB of RAM and a 64 bit operating system, but the company I work for online says it is benchmarking to low for me to use with them. Is this as high as I can upgrade this processor? Can I overclock it perhaps and if so how? They say it is benchmarking at 750 and they need it at 1500. I have no idea what these numbers mean though. Can I overclock this processor? I can't seem to find a way to do that when I try to access the Bios.

I had to look at the date to be sure you didn't post this 10 years ago. That is a completely obsolete computer processor from 2005-2008. It cannot be overclocked and if the computer is from that era it should be replaced with a newer model. You should have mentioned the model computer.

The reason that the Netburst family was abandoned is that higher clock rates do not translate into better performance. This is known as the Mhz Myth.
A 2.4Ghz Core 2 duo is faster than a 3.6 Ghz Pentium D.
The 945 is still a viable cpu however. Gaming wise it works just fine when paired with a Good GPU.
Overclocking does not yield a lot of performance but it does make the processor die sooner.
