Upload - not able

I cannot complete an upload test. Using a variety of bandwidth speed tests, my system will successfully run the download test, but when running the upload test just hangs on "preparing upload test". I have tried a variety of upload tests, worked with my service provider to no avail. Everyone says it's a hardware problem. My desktop: Dell DV051 Dimension E310 Processor Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 CPU 2.80GHz Processor Speed 2.73 GHz Memory (RAM) 512 MB Operating System Microsoft Windows XP Professional Operating System Version 5.1.2600 Thanks for any advice and assistance! Liz

It could be your firewall is blocking the upload.  Although it involves some risk, you could temporarily disable your firewall and then run the test.

Thanks for the suggestion. I should have mentioned that I've disabled my firewall, used IE instead of Mozilla Firefox, updated my Java, allowed cookies for most of the known universe, checked the photo websites from another computer. With my internet provider tech support we have tried so many things. Any other suggestions out there are MOST welcomed! Thank you! Liz

If you are able to do anything, such as posting on the forum, checking your e-mail, accessing a site with any browser then it's not a PC hardware problem.

If you are using a router, bypass the router and connect the PC directly to the modem.
