Does your software "state" that it is for the Verizon LG5200 phone? Did it ask you "where do you want to install this software"---when you installed it? Not going to hurt to install it, again.
My cellphone software is listed in "All Programs".
well i went through it again. I reinstalled the drivers. Then it went to software and installed (I dont recall it asking me where it was going to install). After it finished I got a icon in the system tray that says your (i think) your software is ready for this device. I look in my computer and there is no device listed there like it is with my digital camera. I have looked all through my files and it has got me baffled. When I plug in my phone it beeps and then starts charging (as the cable is a charger to). got me baffled!!
yes the software says it is for my model phone. I do have a file in programs but it is the drivers. There are no .exe files there, just setup/install. yeah I guess I will try uninstalling it and try again. thanks for your response. Carol
I did a quick search for a cellphone forum and found
this. There is a "LG" group listed. It maybe more of a phone setup issue than puter. I've found that true when a puter (mine) did not recognize a Sony camera (again, mine). I changed a setting on the camera---then the puter recognized the camera.
