usb keyboard question
I have a Dimension E520 with a usb keyboard .
I just bought another Dell keyboard at a tag sale which I assumed would work because it was a Dell - mine works fine - this just looked fresher and larger , better model .
When I went to set it up , I discovered that mine has a USB interface and the other one has the standard pin connection _ I belive it may be a ps2 type connection ????
Is there a way I can use that keyboard with my PC instead of the one I now have with the USB connection - I don't see a way to install it .
Thanks for any help!

Hi Chercat2,
There are PS2-to-USB adapters for keyboards. The good thing is they're not expensive. The bad thing is they sometimes do not work, but you can certainly try.

Thanks, Osprey .
After I posted , I went thru all my spare cables, etc that I had collected thru the years and found what I believe is just the opposite although that makes less sense - it is from an old mouse ( icon ) and it has a ps2 connector with an arrow pointing forward as if that is the way to install it and a slot for a to be inserted at the other end .
Thanks for your help - the keyboard was only $1.00 so I guess I will use the old one that still works but is a cheapo Dell model : )

When they first started offering USB mice, most of them came with a USB to PS2 adapter. You need a PS2 to USB.
