Thanks, but those are the specs for the front panel controls and lights. I'm looking for the pin configuration for the front usb ports

yes, no responce yet. btw, my problem is the same as above, but on an optiplex 160L motherboard

My problem has long since been solved.  I got tired of trying to figure it out and just added a card w/3.5" Bay Front Panel USB & Firewire ports.  I just taped over the ones I couldn't get to work and went on.  Why something that should be so simple was so maddening I guess I'll never know. 
 
Luckily I had an empty slot and bay.

I just super glued the door to the fromt usb and audio ports and let it go. I spent 2 hours on the phone with dell tech and 2nd tier tech and they could not find an answer, and I think they REALLY tried to help, which was a surprise....
