Video Adapter - Error Message installing driver
I have a Dimension 5100, windows xp home and my graphics card is a Raedon X300 SE. I have just done a clean reinstall on my computer and am now reinstalling the drivers. I'm following the order outlined on the Dell website and downloading the drivers from the download page as they seemed more up to date than those on the driver and utility disk.
Have installed the Desktop System software OK
Installed the Chipset Driver OK
Now when I come to the "Video Adapter" I scrolled down to "Video".
I found:-
ATI - Driver
Applies to:
Hyper Memory PCI-Express X16 (DVI/VGA/TV out) Radeon X300 SE
I downloaded it then went to install. The following error message came up.
"INF Error
Video Driver not Found
Setup was unable to complete the installation. Try to setup your display adapter with a standard vga driver before running setup."
OK now I'm lost LOL. Looks like that's NOT what I want. So exactly what driver do I download? Not sure what hypermemory is either as I don't remember seeing that printed on the graphic card when I opened up my computer to have a look. Any advice would be appreciated.
