It will work, as you have a PCI-Express machine.  However, the X700 has been nothing but trouble for Dell users.  You can confirm this yourself.  See Dell's official warning to stay away from the X700 here: http://forums.us.dell.com/supportforums/board/message?board.id=dim_video&message.id=132331

about middle of the page for the X700 warning

The pickings are slim for folks with PCI-e and a need for a low profile card.  I would avoid the X700 altogether, and the X300 line is barely more capable than the integrated graphics onboard your system now.

Is there a particular Geforce 6800 low-profile card for my 5150C? or is it the particular Geforce 6800 seris that is low profile? and that will fit?

If you stick with PCI-Express, the only low profile cards that I am personally aware of at this time is the Radeon x300 and x700.

What about NVIDIA 7300 LE which exists in low profile ?
Is it  Power OK ?

I'm looking for a graphic card which will support Aero UI of Windows Vista, then NVIDIA 7 seems OK.
ATI 600x is only Open GL 1.5 (and not 2.0)

I know that It's not possible to add a top performer card in BTX, but 7300 LE could be a balance between Heat, Noise, and Power.

If the 7300 is available in low profile, then it should work (and Nvidia cards tend to be more compatible than ATi cards). However the 7300 is also extremly low end.

And this has nothing to do with BTX, basically all of Dell's systems are BTX, it's just low profile ones can't use normal cards.
