I am looking to buy a new video card for my Dell Dimension 8400 for gaming purposes. Does anyone know what to look for when shopping for a video card to make sure it is the kind of video card that will work for your computer??

Wayyyyyy too expensive. Try http://www.newegg.com .  You will notice, that even with shipping it is much cheaper and if you don't live in Tennessee, California, or New Jersey...no sales tax either.

Newegg has good stuff. However most times with Store Rebates and sales I dont need to deal with shipping because I go there and get it. Instant gratification.
