Virtual device driver, aka VxD. As for why you're getting an error referring to one it's difficult to say without knowing the exact text of the error. You may need to update the driver for your video or sound card or the games may not be compatible with the operating system you're running. One can only guess without having more info about your computer and these games that are causing you trouble.
