virtual memory low error

i get that error whenever i play evil genius for a couple of hours,i have a wierd feeling that i need more RAM when i see this message i only have 256mb. says increasing the pagefile will help, not sure.

256 mb is way too low for your 2400 system.....512 mb is what is needed for windows xp to run at its best, so get some more.  You can increase your page file as well if you like, but memory prices is low today, so stock up

Well, I'd like to qualify the above statement. 256MB of RAM is too low if you want to play games (and this is obviously what you're doing). I second that you should definately upgrade to 512MB of RAM. Also, increase the size of the paging file (virtual memory) up to 1.5 - 2 gigabytes.

Its best to let windows manage virtual memory. However the initial and maximum settings are 1.5 and 3 times your RAM respectively.

i play UT2004 and have never gotten this message. and evil genius isnt very graphic heavy.

my video card i a geforce MX4000 and i havent got the virtual memory message when running at my usual +35mhz overclocks. i now go at a 15mhz OC because of heat and now i get this.

o, and where can i buy some compatible RAM for my 2400. just 256mb so it shouldnt cost too much.

will i get a couple extra frames from this RAM upgrade?
