This should be plenty unless you do a lot of video editing. Whatever you use, just make sure the min/max are the same. This speeds it up and prevents HDD fragmenting.
I do have Norton products operating but not Norton Internet Security.
I posted a message to Dell Support and have since been advised to set minimum to 384 and maximum to 1152. At the moment at least, that appears to be working. Thanks for replying to my message.

Thanks for replying. Hard drive has 56GB - have used 9GB. Mine is a three week old Dimension 4550
