weird problems with dell dimension e5150

The first time i ever plugged in the pc with no extra hardware or anything i got a blue screen stating that a physical memory dump had been done. After that the computer has not reverted back to the blue screen but has done several other strange things. The first time i turn it on in the day it takes twenty times longer to boot than it usually does. I also get choppy gameplay using a geforce 7800gt card with a pentium 4 3.4 ghz processor and a gig of ram. I should not be getting choppy gameplay period. I installed all of the latest video drivers and upgraded the soundcard. What could my problems be coming from?

Since this is a brand new system, you should pursue getting a replacement system from Dell. I suggest you use e-mail, but any response is going to be a bit slow this time of year.

Are you sure that my problems are ones that would warrant getting a new system? The only ones i have now are the game stuttoring problem and the long initial boot up.

Yes, if you encountered your first problem the first time you booted the system.
