        You've got that right.
It killed mine last night, I unchecked the update, and must not have got it unchecked, it ruined my 32 bit system last night

I have heard about this. there is somebody who has loaded it and I am trying to help them, I am hoping system restore will do the trick. but this will only work with windows Vista. I will also find out more info to uninstall it, it was given to me as an option, but luckily I have not downloaded it.

I think it might be badly written. the software that is.

Yeah, Mine broke a while back and I got the new one then.  It is SO much better.  Hopefully they will get you all fixed up soon.  Dell should just send you the 720 kit.  That would solve all of your problems.  Perhaps they should pick a couple of us to test the new mobo upgrade this week:smileywink:.

    Oh yes PG,
I would LOVE to be a tester/guinea pig for the kit...That would be awesome!!

Maybe we could save a few issues down the road.

One of the best things I've ever done since messing with pcs is getting in on the MS testing gig for Vista, and now WHS. Getting hands on experience, and helping to get it ready for prime time is GREAT!!!

When was this update released?  I do not see it as available in my list(which means I probably already installed it).  I am having no ill effects that I can see.  YET?

Sorry to hear WHS didn't do the trick.

Have you tried to restore from WHS?

Gotcha.  I am glad I was booted into XP this morning.  No updates in Vista for me.  Thanks for saving me a headache.

I had to sell stock options to pay for it, but I do not regret it.

   bugout,
It was a Vista update, it probably would effect the 710 also.
