I ran into this problem a couple of weeks back but it was on a custom built pc on an Asus board. On the third format and windows re-install, it finally took it. Wierd. Goodluck

Thanks for the advice but I`m an idiot! I got my XP disks mixed up and used the wrong key code for the other one.

If you use a Dell XP CD on a Dell system, it shouldn't ask for the license key (or not that I've ever seen on the media I've worked with).
