I have 250 workstations Dell OptiPlex Model SX270 and Model SX280 where the serial number is phony:

OptiPlex SX270 XXXXXXXXXXX

all have the same format CN... the real Serial Number is 123456 if I believe the chassis.

 

Where is the Serial Number? Is it a different field from the previous Model? Any fix?

Which Bios version should I have?
