xps 600 problem

Question

i formated my computer x3 times incase it was a bad install (using 2 disks i have) without anyluck   when i try to install my audio drivers my computer will freeze, if i install them in safe mode, my computer will not load up past windows loading screen, iv disabled the audio controller in bios temp, untill i can figure out is wrong with it..does anyone have any ideas?   iv also got the latest drivers off the dell site.. without any luck     Any comments or help will b greatly thanked. Craigx1983, You must load the nVidia SMBus chipset and restart the PC before loading any other drivers.

Chris i have loaded that driver, and it still freezes on install and refuses to let my computer boot. also when i do the dell diagnostics (press f12 / system utlity) it crashs and says exeptional error, in IAUDIO.MDM on line (ill refind that out)   Iv done all that the manual says, I am truly at a loss.   please just call me Craig :)   I have also emailed the tech support, but they are yet to reply, are they off for festive holiday ?   Do you have any more idea's?   Craig

My XPS 600 is Quirky not buggy as Dell disliked the word Buggy..my XPS 600 has always been Quirky from day one and still is . my XPS 600 dislikes any USB  device .  tech support  from every company for any usb devices ive hooked up to my XPS 600 all have said its my XPS 600 not their USB device. Eventually all work but not as they should , as matter of fact this XPS 600 is the worst DELL ive ever had...  today my new IPOD rejected my XPS 600... Errors .. oh boy.. or is it my XPS 600 rejected my ipod ?
