XPS 700 Speaker Problems (static)

Hi,

I just got my XPS 700 and I have a Dell 5650 5.1 100 Watt Surround Sound Speaker System with Subwoofer, however, whenever I play music or do anything that uses sound, the front right speaker plays static as well. Thoughts? Any help on this is appreciated.

Make sure the speaker is not close to the sub woofer... move it a couple of feet away and see if you still get the noise.

You don't have that speaker real close to your system do you?  Getting RFI, EMI from the system?

I tried moving it and it doesn't do anything, I also have the two back speakers near the subwoofer and they don't make any static noise.

It's close to they system but if it was getting interference from it then my two back speakers would have to get interference as well since they're the same distance away too

Edit: I think it might have something to do with bass since the static comes in whenever there's just a hint of bass

Another thing is happening now, from time to time this weird sound like *rerrt rerrt* comes through the speakers (I can't tell if it's just the front right or any other ones). Again, any help is appreciated.

do you have a mic plugged in and turned on? If so shut it off and see the results

I have no microphone hooked in and I checked my mixer and both headphone and auxillary are X'ed out
