Hello Candyx, It would be helpful to know which XPS model you have since different models may require different drivers.

 

The multimedia controller may be referring to the audio drivers or the 19 in One Flash disk device.

 

You could try downloading these for your system model and see if that resolves the issue.

The computer has a model number such as XPS420, XPS630, XPS720 or it may be an older version of the XPS Dimension series.

 

If it is the older version it will have another number on the front of the case. You might verify the model number or find the service tag number and search for the drivers using that method.

yes, .and it just called XPS, not other name for it..

Please remove your service tag number as it is a violation to post that and this thread can get deleted.

 

Drivers for you model would be here. I belive that multimedia is the sound card

Thanks..sorry, I didn't know that I shouldn't post my service tag..I will try the audio driver and see if it fixed the problem.
