2 Questions

Hiya. I was wondering what is the possibilty of Dell actually replacing an entire laptop? And also my cousin has the same laptop I do, Inspron 5150. Now a few weeks ago something spilled on the computer(she doesnt know what). She has full coverage on the computer from the warranty. Does anyone know if Dell will "honor" the warranty since something was spilled? Thanx

Unless your cousin has Complete Care, spills aren't covered.

The entire laptop would only be replaced if Dell cannot repair it.  It would be replaced with a refurbished laptop most likely.

Thanx for the reply. I checked online about the warranty and it said Extended. Is that the same as Complete Care?

Extended just extends the time of the standard warranty -- complete care by contrast covers things like accidents

Right.  So your cousin has a new doorstop as the motherboard repair is $700+.
