What does the image look like on an external monitor?

You'll need to find one somewhere, in order to differentiate a panel problem from a video card problem. If you do not have one, perhaps use one at your workplace, or borrow one from a friend.

I will find a screen and get back to you on it.  Thank you for your help.

I was able to use my neighbors screen and everything worked fine on it.  I was able to access all of my files and programs.  Any suggestions?

Reseat the ribbon cable that runs between the mainboard and display panel. If that doesn't work, your LCD panel needs repair or replacement.
