5150 over heating
I've had my Inspiron 5150 for almost 4 years and I've always used compressed air to keep the cooling airway clean. I use I8kfanGUI to monitor my cpu temp and it has always sat between 45C at idle and 58C under load.
I was recently sent a letter from DELL asking me to send my notebook back to have the heat sink replaced and have the notebook tested. I sent it back and it returned from DELL 3 days ago with a new heatsink and now the system is running hotter, 53C idle and up to 69C when running a virus or spyware scan (only about 55% CPU load).
Should I be concerned and ship it back? Or are these temps OK?
Thanks,
spmn
