Don't put the system into standby when the lid is closed or at any time. If your going to be away from it for a extended preiod of time shut it down. If for just a few minute leave it running and set the power options to turn the screen off after 5/10 minutes or set the power options to do nothing when closiing the lid. The screen will automatically turn off when the lid is closed.
When I close the lid of my 5160, it goes into standby. When I lift the lid, the display returns, then goes blank and stays blank. What can I do to eliminate this problem?
I'm experiencing the same problem on my 5160 but only when an external modem is attached to its USB port. Did you get any fix/resolution so far?
Thanks.
(BTW, I'm using latest BIOS/Dell's NVidia GeForce2go 5200 drivers)
