700m Fn + function key "pop-up message" missing?

Hello,

On all of the other Dell Notebooks that we use, when the function keys are pressed or when the caps key is pressed, a small box pops up on the screen indicating the action.

For example, when Fn + F6 is pressed, a small icon usually appears on the screen indicating the volume adjustment. On the 700m, no indicator appears.

Is there any way to make the pop-up messages appear?
