Hi Ericzhao526,

Please run the LCD BIST on the laptop to check if there is any problem with the LCD screen.

 To initiate LCD BIST:

  • Connect the AC adapter to your computer.
  • Hold the letter <D> on your keyboard and then turn on your computer.
You will see four colors (grey, red, green, and blue) on the screen in a sequence.

If you see any colors on the screen the LCD screen is fine. If not the problem is with the LCD screen and LCD needs to be replaced.

I would like you to check the functionality of the LCD screen in safe mode with networking. To check in Safe Mode with Networking, follow the below mentioned steps:

  1. Restart the computer.
  2. Keep tapping F8 on the Dell Logo Screen.
  3. Once the computer enters Advanced Boot Option, select Safe Mode with Networking.
  4. Press Enter.

Check the functionality of the screen in safe mode with networking and post the results.

Please reply for further help.

Hi Ericzhao526,

I would like to know when the screen appears in pink, is it when using any application or program?

Boot the system in Safemode with networking and check if the screen is normal or pink.

I suggest you to uninstall and reinstall the video card driver of the system, to uninstall the video card drivers follow the below mentioned steps:

  1. Click “Start”.
  2. Click “Control Panel” and select “Device Manager”.
  3. On the “Device Manager” window, expand “Display adapters”.
  4. Right click “Intel(R) HD Graphics” and click “Uninstall”.
  5. Ensure to check the box “Delete driver software for this device”.
  6. Follow the on-screen instructions to uninstall the drivers.
  7. Restart the computer.
  8. Right click “AMD Radeon HD/ NVidia GeForce” and click “Uninstall”.
  9. Ensure to check the box “Delete driver software for this device”.
  10. Follow the on-screen instructions to uninstall the drivers.
  11. Restart the computer.
  12. Download and Install the Latest Video Drivers and BIOS from the link: http://dell.to/T2hKYc
  13. Click the above link, enter the service tag of the computer and select the operating system.
  14. Install the Intel HD Graphics drivers and AMD Radeon HD/ NVidia GeForce drivers listed under video.

Check the functionality of the screen and post the results.
