I am having troubles finding a decent packpack to fit my computer.  A friend of mine who also purchased a 9100 bought the Mobile Edge backpack (designed for the 9100).  Only problem is the lack of room for college sized books.  I am guessing he can maybe fit 1 book in there with his laptop and accessories.  Is there something bigger?  I was looking at the ones from Targus on dell's site, but most of them don't list the laptop dimensions they will fit, or some of them are just a few centimeters to small.  I am guessing they would still fit though.  Any suggestions for a mobile student who needs room for additional books?

For the big 9100?  Sure ==>

haha, so maybe that pack is a bit to big.  I do have one already very similar that I use for hiking in the mountains every year, but IMO, not practicle for school use. LOL

I think I would have rather had the Jansport PC Port, that looks like it has enough room to bring my whole dorm room to class, but I opted for the Targus Matrix instead.  The Matrix is still quite a large bag.  I guess the price detured me somewhat as I was looking for something cheaper than the $90 for the Jansport.  Check it out though if you have the cash!!  http://www.ebags.com/jansport/pc_port/product_detail/index.cfm?fuseaction=image&ModelID=15694&bb_id=&Sku=15694&view=axlrg&sub_site_ID=20

i have a inspirion (9100)and am using a targus elite series notebook backpack tr601, it holds everything i need to carry for my dell (9100) i don't recommend carrying around the 9100 on your back its kinda heavy you may consider using a roleaway backpack if your doing exstensive lugging of the (9100), i saw a roleaway backpack for notebooks at costco i would of purchased in stead of this targus model as the 9100 with all its asseccories is heavy....

Go to the Targus website, www.targus.com they have a bag fitter (just select I9100) which will show what bag will fit your laptop.

Update:

now that I have had the pack for a few weeks I would like to add that I am very happy with it.  It holds alot more stuff then what it appears to at first glance.  The padding seems to be of good quality and protects the notebook sufficiently.  The 9100 is a tight sqeeze, but still easily fits.  Only downside is the pack isn't quite as tall as I would have liked.  I rarely take the notebook to class, but I haved used the backpack countless times when doing homework or gaming away from home.
