9300 lcd screen replacement PLEASE HELP

Question

hi all as of 10 minutes ago i need a new screen for my insiprion 9300, looking around i found some come with inverters and cables are they needed or what i need some input really bad, i cant be without my laptop and truely dont want to buy another PLEASE HELP!!! i just need to know what to get and what not to thanx for any help anyone may be able to offer

hello yes the top right broke so its all messed up i found on from a another 9300 on ebay brand new with ribbon and inverter guess thats the best option how do i know if im getting the same model as you had said it would work without inverter and all thanx so much for your help on the subject

First, what's wrong with the screen? Unless it's shattered, or has line faults, it will be less expensive to have it repaired than to replace it.

If it is shattered,

1. Buying the exact same model panel you now have means you won't need a new inverter.

2. Buying a different model screen that came from another 9300 means you likely WILL need a new inverter, and may need a different cable.

3. Buying any other screen (not from a 9300) means you take your chances - LCDs are not universally interchangeable and the system firmware is written for only those screens Quanta used when it built the system for Dell.

Remove the panel and look at the label with the model/Dell Part number on the back.

I would not buy a panel from EBay unless the price is half or less what a new panel costs - you have no way to know what condition it's in or how much life is left on the backlight.
