You should only use Dell's own AC Adaptors with your system. Since you are still under the warranty period, being less than 1 year old, you should contact Dell Technical Support, in your country to get a replacement under warranty. The standard Dell Warranty covers the AC Adaptor as well as the actual notebook itself.
Using a non-Dell AC Adaptor will void your warranty, if anything goes wrong while using the non-Dell adaptor, Dell will not touch your system for any warranty repairs if you are not using an approved Dell AC Adaptor.
