ACPI BIOS not compliant

I decided to have my IT department reformat and reinstall Win2000 on my CPx J650GT. It had been three years since I first got this computer. That was 11 days ago. All worked well until just this weekend, the computer went off but come right back on, it did this a few other times over the last four days. This morning I got 'the ACPI BIOS in this system is not fully compliant with the ACPI spec.' message. I do not have any idea what that means, but watched as the computer continued to start windows only to show the same window. I pressed the F7 key as it stated and now all my computer will do is start the memory test, and the window 2000 start page before I see a quick blue screen that I can not read before it returns to the boot memory page and goes all over again and again. I have just enough skill to think I can follow directions so I removed and resetted the memory cards as many messages regarding this same problem in forum boards. No help there. My IT department is on vacation and I have admitted defeat and bow to anyones help, including great descriptions.

Try to get into the windows screen by going into safe mode.  Hit the F8 key while the system is starting up.  Choose the safe mode option and turn off any power saving options that you may have set in the control panel.  (start, settings, control panel, power options.) Restart the computer in normal mode.  This should work.  Let me know if you can not get into the safe mode option......... we will try other avenues.
