Adobe reader 6.0.1

i think my adobe reader 6.0.1 got deleted somehow,when i try to download it says the feature u r trying to use is on a removeable disk.please insert disk,i dont have disc. .then it says the installation source isnt available.verify that the source exists and that u can access it.
please help me
also-why won't it let me restore before jan.1,2006

Go to the Adobe site to download the latest version of the free reader: http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html

or Foxit Reader http://foxitsoftware.com/pdf/rd_intro.php

much smaller (only about 1MB) and much faster; it's self contatined - it doesn't even need an installer.

Did you ever get this problem resolved? that is my problem to, only it's installed in my computer, but it keeps looking for a disk, which I think I either have to reinstall the resource CD in order to update it or totally uninstall the old format and reinstall the new Adobe 8.0..so the old version of Adobe 6.0.1 is installed, but the program itself is no longer, I can't read anything in the PDF format
