Advanced Boot Options Menu

I'm in the middle of a "Restore to Factory Settings".  I am pressing F8 at startup before and during DELL logo appearance, and before Windows logo appearance.  This is supposed to get me to the "Advanced Boot Options" menu, but it isn't working.  I keep F8 pressed continuously but nothing happens.  As soon as I release F8, the DELL logo goes away and Windows logo appears, then desktop appears.  Any suggestions?
