Alienware m14x leaky screen

Hi all. I purchased my lovely little alienware laptop in January and I noticed right away that the screen seems to slowly leak fluid. There are a few different spots where it does this, thin vertical lines up to a cm long. The fluid isn't colored. It's almost like the screen is sweating. Any ideas what this might be, and if I should be concerned?

It's likely the screen will need to be replaced - especially if the problem is a continuing one.  About the only thing it could be is some kind of adhesive that's melting under the normal heat of operation -- either that or somewhere along the line water was trapped inside the screen (which could easily cause the streaking you've mentioned).

Even though it arrived damaged?

It has been doing this since I unboxed it, though I understand that'd be hard to prove at this point. There are no scratches or anything on the screen. If it's not something that's eventually going to impact the quality of my viewing experience, then I'll just continue to wipe off the "sweat" when it appears and not worry about it. Thanks for the reply.

There is no "fluid" in the screen that can leak.  It sounds like the screen has been physically damaged - if so, the only way you can get it replaced by Dell is if you have a damage-protection plan (Complete Care) -- the standard warranty won't cover accidental damage.
